Yes, the average person does use a large amount of water, and much of this water is used while taking a shower, washing their clothes or cooking foods. A lot more water than most of us realize goes into producing the foods which we eat. Overwatering of vegetables leads to wasted water that seeps through the soil horizon and into water runoff, carrying harmful pesticides into human drinking water reservoirs. Also, huge amount of water are required for grazing animals, such as cows.
