Theories of Evolution

Evolution: is the change over time in inherited traits found in populations of living organisms.

Creationism: is the religious belief that humanity, life, the Earth, and the universe are the creation of a supernatural being.

Natural Selection: is the process by which biologic traits become more or less common in a population due to consistent effects upon the survival or reproduction of their bearers. It is a key mechanism of evolution. Because of the genetic variation within a population, some individuals would survive and reproduce more successfully than others. But, if the genetic traits are common, it allows for more of the population to survive and can reproduce and evolve more effectively

Mutation: are the changes in a genomic sequence.
